Hi can anyone help me with the following signs for our school topic.
Pirate Treasure Map Flag Island Mermaid Sword
I've bought the basic vocabulary but unfortunately none of these words are in it.
Many thanks Sue

Hi Sue,
Sorry for the delay, we were at the Afasic Voice for Life event in Southampton. For future reference, you'll probably get a quicker response if you email sign requests to info@signalong.org.uk.
Pirate: Working flat hand (palm back, pointing up) covers eye Treasure: Working flat hand (palm down, pointing forward) bends at wrist to palm forward, pointing up, changing to open hand; Map: "M" hands (palms in/down, pointing in/up) with fingertips touching circle out vertically until heels of hands make contact; Flag: Working flat hand (palm in, pointing forward) resting on tip of supporting index hand (palm in, pointing up); working hand flexes backwards and forwards once; Island:Working clawed hand (palm down, pointing forward) moves forwards and then down a short way; Mermaid:working flat hand (palm in, pointing forward) moves forward in waving action to sign "fish"; then working clawed hand combs from top of head down imaginary hair; Sword: Working fist mimes drawing sword from scabbard on supporting side.
Enjoy!
Mike
